Terms and Conditions

1. Scope & Operator

These General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) apply to all visitors of the virtual reality facility “Meister VR”, operated as a sole proprietorship by Dogan Lale, Kornhausstr. 1, 06846 Dessau-Roßlau, Tax Number: 114 243 02165.

By making a booking, entering the premises, or using the VR equipment, the participant agrees to these Terms and Conditions in their current valid version.

2. VR-Specific Risk Disclosure

Physical & Physiological Risks

  • Motion sickness: nausea, dizziness, disorientation, sweating
  • Vision problems: eye strain, blurred vision, temporary perceptual disturbances
  • Disorientation & risk of falling: impaired spatial awareness increases the risk of collisions and falls
  • Photosensitive reactions: flashing lights may trigger epileptic seizures
  • Cardiovascular reactions: increased heart rate or blood pressure
  • Risk of injury: especially during free-roaming experiences
  • Hygiene risk: minimal residual risk despite disinfection

Contraindications – participation is prohibited in cases of:

  • Epilepsy or photosensitivity
  • Heart conditions or pacemakers
  • Pregnancy
  • Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or psychoactive substances
  • Severe balance disorders or recent eye surgery
  • Severe mental illnesses
  • Age under 6 years (no exceptions

STOP rule
Participation can be ended at any time without giving a reason.
Staff must be informed immediately. No costs or disadvantages will arise.

3. Health Declaration

By booking or giving consent, the participant confirms truthfully:

  • No epilepsy
  • No heart problems
  • Not pregnant
  • No influence of alcohol/drugs
  • No balance disorders
  • No recent eye surgery
  • No severe mental illnesses

In case of doubt, staff must be informed before participation.

4. Voluntary Participation

Participation is voluntary and can be ended at any time without giving a reason.
There is no obligation whatsoever

5. Hygiene & Usage Rules

Hygiene

  • Equipment is disinfected after each use
  • Hygiene protection is available
  • Participation may be refused in case of illness.

Rules of Conduct

  • Use only after instruction
  • Do not leave the play area
  • No physical contact
  • Report any discomfort immediately (STOP rule)
  • Food and drinks are only allowed in designated areas. In the party package area, bringing your own food or cake is permitted.
  • Remove jewelry
  • No recordings without consent

Maximum Session Duration

  • Ages 10–11: 15 minutes (break mandatory)
  • 12–15 years: 30 minutes
  • 16–17 years: 60 minutes
  • Adults: 60 minutes

Staff may end sessions at any time.

6. Liability

There is no limitation of liability for damage to life, body, or health.
Liability for gross negligence or intent remains unaffected.
For slight negligence, liability exists only in the case of a breach of essential contractual obligations.
Contributory negligence will be taken into account (§254 BGB).

Participants are liable for damage to equipment (e.g., approx. €700 per device).
No right of withdrawal for online bookings (§312g BGB).

7. Data Protection (GDPR)

Controller: Dogan Lale, Meister VR

Processing is carried out for:

  • Booking & Contract
  • Security
  • Legal obligations

Storage: up to 10 years

Rights:
Information, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection

8. Participation Confirmation (Adults)

By agreeing, the participant confirms:

  • Terms and Conditions read and understood
  • Of legal age and capacity
  • Participation at your own risk

Part B – Minors

9. Age Regulations

  • Under 10: no participation
  • 10-11: only with a supervising adult present
  • 12–15: consent required
  • 16–17: ID required

10. Guardian Information

Required:

  • Name and relationship to child
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Confirmation of custody

11. Special Risks for Minors

  • Increased susceptibility to nausea
  • Increased risk of falling
  • Impact on visual development
  • Possible psychological strain

Usage times must be strictly adhered to.

12. Supervision & Duties

Parental responsibilities:

  • Explain safety rules
  • Communicate health status
  • Ensure availability
  • Ages 10–11: supervision required

Operator responsibilities:

  • Trained staff
  • Adherence to rules
  • Emergency measures
  • Age-appropriate content

13. Liability for Minors

Parents are liable for damages caused by their children (§832 BGB).
Statutory liability remains unaffected.

14. Data protection for minors

Data processing is carried out only with the consent of the legal guardians in accordance with the GDPR.

15. Consent

Parents/legal guardians confirm their consent and acknowledgment of all risks.

16. Final Provisions

German law applies.
Invalid clauses do not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
Changes may be made at any time.

17. Dispute Resolution

No participation in consumer dispute resolution proceedings (unless legally required).
